New X-ARCADE track ball - not working on any Centipede MAME rom type game or clone

Had mame eons ago - lost interest, recently picked up on it again and surely needed serious STICKAGE... found the X-arcade and wow nice unit. (got it yesterday).

What's Weird, track ball works on Golden tee (well!) and on Missle command (very well, I even tweaked the speed to get the cursor to cover more screen faster).

Still I can't get the trackball to work at all on Centipede or any similar mame game style roms. Any ideas? It works with the included centipeded with the x-arcade stick, but really more into the mame version/setup.

What were other trackball cames I can test?

trackball works perfect as a mouse in windows 7 as well. Just crazy.

P.S. I use to have stand up (real) battle zone in my family room. Wife said SELL IT - to big... did - and now the Xarcade works great as "two stick" controller for the BZ tanks. Sweet.

Never mind - got it working.

I ended up reinstalling, then running mame32 plus! still didn't work - lots of roms crashed. I a audit or something that scanned everything - then they worked?

Maybe I need to read up on what this audit thing is.
