Your router's box or manual will say.
802.11a is unused for the most part, b is old, g is the norm and n is quick.

My router will run WiFi (802.11b, 11Mbps. 802.11g, 54Mbps).
Can I still get N and use it like G ?
Yes, all N routers have backwards compatibility with G and some even B.
