FFVII glitch when fights began

ePSX2 1.5.2
Bios: NTSC, SCPH1001.BIN
Video: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.77
Sound: Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41

-i was aware that there is a newer version of ePSXe and was having the same problems, so i tried this version to see if it got better (didnt)

-i like the 1.77 driver because it made the game look way nicer, although i may have not been aware of how to config the opengl2 one to make it look nice.
help on this would be nice if possible.

-i play this game off an ISO on the computer. no cd's being used here

my problem....
the game started fine, for about 2 hours no problems.
but all of a sudden, now when random fights began, the game freeses for about 15 seconds when loading into the fight screen. i can continue playing then with no problems.
but with as many fights as expected in this game, i hope to get this ficed before i continue.

please help :(

My friend first change for anothe plugin or another version of the plugin you have using, if contine the same problem change for epsxe 1.60 pr epsxe 1.70 or psx 1.11 or above.

ive tried a few different versions of the emu and plugins. its gotten slightly better, but still happens.

the glicthes seem to be triggers by certain sound effects or tracks that play.

what setups (versions, plugins and settings) do other ffvii players found working?

i use Petes D3D 1.76 but i get this kind of weird line around the textures but no freezing
