playstation one cheat codes

Hi guys does anyone know if, theres anyway of using a game shark cheat code or something similar on an emulated game.

I'm not familiar with cheats on most emulators, but I would imagine its either up to embedded cheat options within the emulator, or finding a game shark image, or something of that nature.

Just gotta look it up, google will probably get you all the answers you need. Or someone here will comment before then
