I see you haven't tried to trade Pokemon yet... no$gba won't get past the saving
Is there a emulator thats like plays all gb game versions and still has a easy link up thing link tgbc duel?
I tried vba link but the link does not work with the harvest moon series games.
Which really makes me mad.
If theres not one lets try to make one. We could call it ultra boy.
lol... I think that the name is the last thing you have to worry about when you write an emulator :-)
Well Ive worked with Visual Boy Advance for about five hours trying with my brother in AR to get it to work... seriously we got like 2% AT BEST!!! on Dragonball Z Supersonic Warriors... WHY THE HELL does it go so slow??? I mean we got connected after we shut our firewalls down and all that... but... still "IF" we got connected VBA would be at 2% at the most... any ideas on how to fix that???
Missing the gba bios? TCP/IP problems?
Well... Im on a DSL Modem, Linksys Router, and then my computer with who knows how many firewalls... might just be my GODDA*NED computer firewalls... I trully wish you could just connect to a server like you can with Diablo 2 and such... like Battlenet make a VisualBoy.net
This version doesn't work better over Internet (that's why it's called LAN). Right now I'm making a faster one, don't know how faster it will be though
dum im new to the link in VBAlink and ive also never done it on real gba so can someone tell me how to do the stuff cus im trying to do it it onp pokemon emrald and it dosent work and if its just the emulator canu tell me wich one will work(if any)thanx in advance
ok how do you get controllers to work right
im using a smartjoy dualbox and i can enter in the controls for 1st player but how do you it for 2nd player.
for NO$GBA
hey is der a way to transfer game files to the vbalink from the original one cuz i want to transfer/link or whatever but i still want to transfer to my already saved files
Will they be able to make a GBA emulator able to trade with an N64 emulator? Or maybe an N64 emu able to play GBA games and the same save type as another GBA emulator or something like that.
As far as know there is no way you can connect the GBA with N64 so there won't be an emulator that connects GBA and N64.
.Umm..I need some help.. ;_; ... I opened up vba, setup the vba server, entered the ip address, and when I tried to press "connect" it gives me this "error 11004" ....what should I do to fix this problem.. :( thanks in advance..
nvm. sorry for noob post:P
zzz is there some way I can make my email address hidden.
haven't read 10 pages, sorry if this problem has already been answered.
when i click on "link" for 2nd time to make the other GBA boot, it doesn't...
pls help, thx :)
i have problem with my visual boy advance so if somwone can help me it would be very pleasant
Sorry for asking but after trading pokemon from sapphire to sapphire, the link does not work... Is there something I can do to make the emulator trade again?
There is also VBALink, which can be over a LAN, or on the same computer.
this thread is sooooooooooooo fucked up, I we need to make a new one...
Sorry, but when I go to Options> in VBA, there is no link option. Can someone please tell me where it is?
Yes, I am a noob.
you need the specal version of visual boy advance VBALink http://www.vbalink.info/
some info from the site
# Start two (three, four) Advance VisualBoy emulators at once and open gba roms.
# In VisualBoy Advance Link -- Options/Emulator, uncheck Pause when inactive window
# You don't have to turn off the sound like in TGB Dual - only the active VBA produces sound
# In options setup all the things, like controls, save paths & so on
# If you want a log of the transfer, check Log in Options/Link
# New! When playing Zelda: Four Swords, you have to set Timeout in Options/Link to above 10000 or below 200 (these values worked for me) - anything in between might make the game not link.
# If you want to use save files, you must rename them - the save file extension for VBA #1 is .sa1
(e.g. Pokemon Ruby.sa1), for #2 .sa2 etc. (the same is true for savestates - #1 has .sg1 etc.) - another solution is to import them, that works too. - Enjoy!
VBA Link sucks balls.... I have spent endless hours trying to trade Pokemon and you know what... Its a waste of effort and time... When a reliable and effective way to link GBA to GBA Emu comes out ill play again but until then SCREW VBA.... Not the Actual VBA it rocks... But SCREW THE UN-OFFICIAL VBA LINK!!!!!!
Is it posible to have a nintendo game event in VBA?
thanks, i really needed this thing
Thanks for that man :)
Hello! I am new and I have been experience alot with an emulators but this no$gba 2.3a seem to have a problem.
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/gba/nocashgba.html
I know that 1.9 might work but 2.3a keep crash. Do you guys have the same problem ?
Can you link GB/GBC games with the link?
Can anybody please answer my question ? I tried Zelda 4 sword with 2.3a but it crashed. No, rom is fine and everything is fine. Multiplayer does seem to crash on 2.3a.
anything for mac?
i would like to have a link up for mac os X, but there doesn't seem to be one.
"Well, VBALink comes with a little .exe that says vbaserver.exe. All you need to do is to start the exe and follow the instructions there. It will ask you:
- Select number of players (2-4)
Then, after you select the number of players, it will say:
Server address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
VBALink server running...
In this state, the vbaserver is waiting for the others to connect. When each player connects to the server, it will says:
Player x connected
and their respective IP addresses. Then you're ready to play Multiplayer games.
NOTE: When you play multiplayer games with VBAlink, the server computer will take a lot of resourses so it will lose performance. Make sure the server is the fastest computer. "posted by butters
now ive gotton all that down but the thing is in vbaserver it gives me an ip adress that is not my real ip, but i try connecting to vba to the real ip and the one the vbaserver says is my ip and neither seem to connect for some reason, is their any reason why this would happen because i am desperatly trieng to figure out why this is happening
Anybody can please test this 2.3a version ? Some people told me that they had the same problem as me. I know about vbalink but I want this emulator to check out since 1.9 run multiplay just fine. HELP? Or everybody have the same problem?:o
OK me and my friend ar trying to play pokemon over the internet using VBALink. we both have it running and he puts my ip into his connect thing and i start the server and it says were connected. then we go to battle in the pokemon thing and it says connection error and it makes us reset our games.
ive read that vbalink is supposed to come with somethnig called vbaserver but i dont seem to have that file. i downloaded all versions of the vbalink to try and find it but with no succes. and i downloaded the "modded vbaserver" thing on the website but coudnt figure out how to work it and there are no instructions anywhere.
and we tryed playing other games as well like zelda four swords and advance wars but nothign worked. any help would be greatly appreciated.
HEH! :)
Follow the instruction(s) at:
http://www.vbalink.info/vba-link-help.htm
if that helped any, i would have said thanks. but it didnt. ive read through that about 50 times already and i see no answers to my problem. so if anyone has intelligent answers, it would be much appreciated.
intelligent ? excuse me ? I think you are being rude, man.
Hey, I got email from no$gba author about multiplayer and I test it and yes it worked fine! Look, his message to me:
I emailed back to him and confirmed him that it did worked great! Try it, it's awesome! :DQuote:
