how do u start xp in safe mode???

Jale Active member Feb 7, 2006 #6 My Windows is in spanish so the description can be inaccurate. Right click on My Computer and then Properties. Click on Advanced Settings. You'll see 3 settings buttons. Click the last one below. On the system startup group click the Edit button. Notepad starts. Below the [operating systems] tag, there should be 2 or more operating systems listed. Delete them EXCEPT the one with /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn.
