The Matrix: Revolutions

I just saw The Matrix: Revolutions and I was pleasantly surprised, it was good. There was a lot more action than in Reloaded and it was overall pretty fun to watch. Sometimes the acting was pretty weak and at times it was hard to take the film seriously.

Example:

Some commander of a ship (I think, I can't remember who it actually is) and Naiobi are arguing over the best route to take.

Commander: We could punch a hole through here and we might be able to make it through, it will be hard, but it's our only choice.
Naiobi: No it's not, we could travel through here and make it undetected.
Commander: Who cares! No one can travel through a mechanical line.
Naiobi: I can, I've done it before.
Morpheus: That was a long time ago.
Naiobi: I can still do it.
Commander: So what!

The commander sounds like a little kid, I laughed pretty hard.

That and when the robots raise their firsts were priceless, it was hilarious.

The scene near the end with Neo and Smith was excellent, fighting was great, and so were the effects.

I liked the ending, sort of. It seemed a bit too perfect and nice, like a Disney film, but on the other hand it wasn't really. It depends on how you look at it.

I give it a 8.5/10.

The big war scene was way to long, if it had a little more variety then a bunch of gunners standing in a circle and shooting Sentinels, it could have been better; it was filler, most of it.

The first couple of fight scenes were very impressive, and I really liked the battle between Neo and Smith in the Matrix, it was the definite high point in the movie for me.

The story though, was weak IMO. I felt like I was waiting for a really killer plot twist, something as shocking as The Empire Strikes Back, and blah, blah, blah..and it just felt ver anti-climatic. I thought the ending was stupid, it had the whole "its over!...but wait....is it?" deal going on , and I really hope that that doesnt mean there are going to be sequels. I thought it was funny when Neo collapsed in a cross formation too.

I agree with all of that.

As for the ending I didn't get the whole "its over!...but wait....is it?" feeling. I thought the ending was nice and wrapped it up pretty well, even though it was somewhat predictable. I didn't predict the machine city part, but I'm pretty sure they wont decide to make any more sequels, prequels on the other hand...

I desperately need a weirder film to come out. Even independant stuff feels stale to me. There's a certain part of my mind which only becomes real through psychoactive drugs and dreams, and I'd really like to see evidence in a film that other people have been to this strange place too.

Funnily enough, the sort of thing in my avatar is about as close as anybody's ever got to it...

Im reffering to the part where the Architect says: "You know that this isn't going to last", reffering to the goody good relationship between the machines, and Zion.

Waz, you must have seen that movie where everyone has a round head, and theres one with a conehead, and hes like, banished from his home. The narrators Ringo Starr.

THAT movie is one of the best movies ever made. Seriously.

Coneheads? I remember Coneheads being some sort of comedy, possibly with Dan Akyroyd in it. I doubt that's what you're talking about.

No, its a cartoon about a boy who has a cone shaped head, hes basically ostracized from his community, and bannished for something he didn't do. Its fucking great, weird animation, beautiful design. Very Alice In Wonderland.

I still can't remember its name, though.

Went to see revolutions last night and was disappointed with it. It just felt so artificial.

However I have a funny feeling that reloaded and revolutions were supposed to be 1 film about 3 hours long. and the 3rd part of the trilogy is still to come along.

They are, those brothers said "Reloaded and Revolution are halves of one film." (actual qoute could be worded differently).

They also said there wern't going to be any more cinema movies. But the story will continue through games and maybe the Animatrix. Matrix Online (MMORG) will be out next year for the PC which continues on after the Revolutions.

the name of the show was "The Head"
it was so crazy with all the defected humans and the raisin guy who lived in his head

it was all crazy fun that was on teletoon around 2 a.m. for all those stoners that get the munchies, cant sleep, then decide to watch television

sound familiar?

OK I started to hate the Matrix Idea, right after I saw Revolutions.
