Reading pdf on linux

There are few programs to read pdf every have own cons and pros.

1. Okular besides reading pdf its a multi document wiever reads: pdf,epub,mobi and fb2 among others.


To install it on debian based distros with all plugins:

sudo apt install okular*

If you are going to be just reading PDF's, just the web browser will be fine.

There are some odd, government-issued pdf's, that are sometimes messed up (I heard that from people from various countries) that will only work properly with Adobe's reader, or in a web browser.

Foxit Reader is a good alternative to Adobe's as well (some distros have it on their repos, or unofficial packages).

No, it is usually from government issued PDFs. It is very specific.

Government employees are not always the most competent
 
Im resurected this thread becuse all works with sumatra pdf in wine on linux.

Also should on windows.
