I know the emulator has loads of problems with this game, but I've read it can be completed if I keep saving. Well the problem now is that it crashes in a very specific point all the time making the game unplayable. I'm using Dolphin SVN 3972 and the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess (NTSC-USA). The game runs in real time at 30 FPS (with frame skip enabled) with no slow downs, except in Hyrule Field and Faron Forest which are the slowest areas slowing down to 10~13 FPS.

The game crashes right before I enter a zone with a bunch of gorons (I assume it's the mine entrance) and I get this error everytime:

My specs:

  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz.
  • 3 GB of RAM DDR2 667.
  • Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB DDR2.
  • Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 24-bits.
Plugins:

  • Graphics: Dolphin OpenGL (DirectX never worked for me).
  • DSP: Dolphin DSP-HLE Plugin.
  • Pad: nJoy v0.3.
  • Wiimote: Dolphin Wiimote plugin.
I was wondering if there's a way to work around this while the guys behind Dolphin try to solve this in a next release.

Meh, I solved it. All I had to do is to reload the save file from the memory card instead of the save state file.
