And make sure to go to settings>emulation and check the cpu emulation.It boosts every game to run just as on the DS.

I tried it on Mario Kart DS, and still can't get it to run up to DS speed. I do however notice a speed up.

It works perfect on my rig. You have an AMD Sempron 2000+ right? I'm amazed that it runs at all. Great work DeSmuMe team!

hey, about the desmume config,
what if we change the config->display method from hardware for software? shouldn't the game look just like it is on a original ds?
