how do you use cheats in the game?

im playing super mario world on the znes emulator and the controls are kind of tricky but i know them, is there any way to change the keys to easier more accessable keys thank you for your help

i just downloaded the Zsnes emulator and i wanted to know how you start playing the games do you have to download them or what. sorry this is a dumb question but if you can help me that would be great thanks
