Dolphin won't work

Okey, I've just started with the gamecube emulating,, and I had lots of problems:

Two case scenarios:

-Dolphin, after I open a game, just stays with a white screen. No response.
-Dolphin has a 1 FPS, and stops working after working for 5 seconds.

The first one is the more regular one.

it's working, it is just in beta stages, most games give white screen and those that work run at 3-4 fps, best thing to do is get a wii with mod chip & play in gc mode

No, most games running slow to fair good speed on dolphin with powerful computer only. What game ?
