Ok, here's my problem. In some scenes the graphics are, well, "missing". The screen goes black and I see occasional red flashes or something... The strange part is, that the in-game text windows look normal. So, I can read what's happening, but I can't see it.... Strange.
I'm using ePSXe 1.6.0 and Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8. I tried some other plugins but nothing helped. Black screen remains....
All other games work fine.
Oh, and my video card is GeForce 6600GT 256Mb.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Try This go to config gpu
petes opengl 2.8 under compatibility
Off-Screen Drawing - 1 ok for most games
Framebuffer effects - 3 Full Emulates
Framebuffer Uploads - 2 Full Uploads
if the does not work try peopsoft 1.17

Thanks, but that didn't help. I even tried that black screen game fixes, still nothing. Maybe I should try some other emu? PSXeven maybe? If so, how do I "convert" my ePSXe memory card to PSXeven? So I could just load my game and see what happens. Maybe the game is faulty.

Set resolution to 800 x 600
If you have a powerful graphic card.... 500 MB+
Set Framebuffer textures to 2 and set Framebuffer access to 3.
If you have a decent graphic card (256 MB) and a relative fast CPU (Pentium 4 - 3.0 Ghz+)....
Having FSAA on, set Framebuffer textures to 0, set Framebuffer access to 4.
If not working then use PSXeven

Psxeven supports both epsxe and psxeven cards.
Psxeven_v.019 go to Memory Card>Browse and select your Memory card.

I'd like to try that, but could you please tell me what plugin are you reffering to? Thanks.

Hope this helps
Thanks for the effort man, but sadly it didn't help.... But still, thanks for the effort!:D
Could the problem really be my nVidia video card? Because all other games work fine...

mabey not sure i have ATI Radeon . And i copied those settings exactly from mine so it should have worked, other then that not too sure. Best way to learn or try is to keep tweaking the settings until you get it.

Don't know if this is going to help you, but I had the same problem with my game, and I managed to fix it to an extent.
After going through a number of video plugins, I found that Pete's PSX D3D worked best for those black screen scenes.
There is a specific setting you need to use under "Special game fixes" down at the botton left side in the "configuration" menue.
Click on the tab beside the option to bring up the menue.
Click on option 0x0002 which should read "Use old texture filtering: fixes black areas with some cards"
It worked for me anyways. Good luck
