Hello :)
I'm new here, but not in emulatings.
I emulate manny times in Sega Genesis, Snes and nes.
And i would like to have a N64 emulator with some games too! :)
My pc is kind of slow, but its fast enough for most emu:
Pentium 3 ~600mhz
ATI Radeon 9250
Windows xp
448mb RAM
512 kb l2 cache.
So can any1 help me finding a good emu?
cus Project 64 runs very slow on my pc,
trough it has 600mhz as a system requirement.
Corn doesnt work for me very well.
When i want to open up a game it freezes.
So, can any1 help me? Tnx ;)

600 MHz is a minimun requirement. To run Project64 smootly a 1.5 GHz or faster processor is required. Your video card and memory is fine for the job, but at 640x480. Higher resolutions will lag your game.
An alternative to Project64 is 1964 (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/1964.html), because it has something that Project64 doesn't: Frame skipping.
For best compatibility, use Project64's plugins with 1964.

Hmm.. Tnx i'll watch
but how can u use project 64 pugins with 1964?
And also.. isn't there any emulator that can run the games with full speed with my system?

Piece of cake. Just copy the content of the "Plugin" folder of Project64 to the "Plugin" folder of 1964.

Anything below Nintendo 64, like PlayStation, SNES, NES, Sega Genesis, etc.
Emulation is a very intense process for PC even if they have the crappiest graphics. That's why you can't compare the performance of a PC game with an emulated game.

I've never used anything else besides Project64 and 1964. The rest are crap to me.

So you are saying UltraHLE is crap???
Every single emulator is hard work, so be more respectful when you talk about emulators.

Rocky is right about that. Be careful what you wish for, Butters. ;)

They're are a few emulators that can work ok with your computer. Try them all out, have you done that yet? Find which works best. Your probably only going to go windowed at 640X480.

Knowing Butters, he doesn't mean it that way. It's just that 1964 and PJ64 have a far better compatibility than the rest of the emus.
I respect all emulation authors, but there are no REAL (LLE) N64 emulators out. All emulators for N64 are HLE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-level_emulation). Except for Ville Linde's (http://www.mameworld.net/vlinde/) N64 emulation (WIP) of course ;)

Corn is a LLE.
I could get it to work a few days ago.
And what does WIP means?

Are you sure about that? Corn is the fastest N64 emulator out and LLE is known to be slower than HLE in general.
