Hey I just downloaded MAME from Emulator-Zone, and then downloaded the X-Men side-scroller game from ***************
I unzipped everything, but I don't know what to do with all the files I just got from the X-Men ROM. Can someone help? Much appreciated.

It's against the rules to link to sites like that, please don't do it again..

As for your problem. You need to keep the files zipped, and the zip has to have the proper name to be recognized. You also may or may not need a BIOS file depending on the game / system you want to emulate. Please don't ask where to get those either.

I suggest using that version of MAME also. It makes keeping track of things and settings much easier to manage.

Oh, I didn't know about the link rule. That's weird, why is it against rules? I just thought it might be helpful for anyone to know which rom I was trying.

As for the BIOS file, I don't even know what that is to ask where I can get those. I have absolutely no experience with Arcade emulators and roms. All I know are simple SNES, GBA, and Genesis emulators, that's why I don't even know how to approach Arcade emulators.

It's fine to mention the file name but you simply can't provide a hyperlink, or the name of the site where you got it, because the forum would get in trouble for enabling people to obtain copyrighted data, which is against the law

- Download MAME32 from the link Zach gave you
- Look in the gamelist from MAME32 which romset you need. If you want to play a clone, be sure to also download the parent.
- Just download them and copy them to your MAME32\roms folder and play :)
