Bras are a lot more fashionable.. That's all it is really, just like everyone wants you to KNOW they are wearing a G-String. I'm sure the advent of the sports bra had something to do with social acceptance as well.

I don't really pay attention, either way. There is cute messy and slutty messy.. Too many of the latter.
