Trading Pokemon

I've been playing Pokemon Ruby on VisualBoy Advance (1.8.0-Beta 3) and decided that i wanted to get a Treecko (started with Torchic).

So i set about trying to find an emulator that allows me to trade pokemon on the same computer. I found VBA Link.

I can't figure out how to make it all work and load saves and stuff. any help please? >_<

I'm pretty sure it does. Just change the .sav extension to .sa1.
