No Sound at all

I've just installed ePSXe. Video and CD reading work fine however I don't get any sound. Pressing test button on sound config doesn't give anything. Tried Pete's DSound audio driver 1.15, ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2 and P.E OpS DSound Audio Driver.

My PC
Windows Vista (tried running ePSXe in XP compatible mode, no difference)
Intel E6600 dual core
Geforce 8800 GTX
Soundblaster Xfi xtreme gamer

Did you download the right plugins? Make sure that they are for windows and if there zipped unzip them and place the .dll file in the plugins directory. Is your volume up on your speakers and computer? If so do you have xa enabled?

Yes they are in the right directory otherwise you can't select them as plugins and they are the windows version.
Yes normal windows sound works and XA is enabled.

I think maybe the test part isn't working since I've tried it with a game and I get sound.

hmm probable cause
your emulator folder is too deep within your hardrive
(thought there shouldn't be any problems with that) bugs are unpredictable.
try moving your epsxe folder to a lower directory.

also make sure you got your sound drivers updated, and you've selected it as primary ;)

Or you may try with Eternal SPU plugin which is better than any of them. :)
