unlocking fighters in street fighter alpha 3

the codes will not work and some cheats on the web say the machine must be on for a month is there any way to unlock those fighters or do i have to leave street fighter alpha 3 on for a month.

If you have an emulator that supports save states, you can use those. The game will think it has been on all the time. Which emulator do you use?

If he uses an emulator he doesn't need to wait. He just needs a cheat file. But I think he means arcade machine.
