games pause every 20 seconds

i got eepsxe and every 20 seconds or so the game will pause and the sound will skip. i think it happens when the game loads from the cd. i have an 8 speed cd drive. is that the problem? and is there anything short of getting an external drive that will fix that. thanks.

i also have blindwrite that can make ISO's. but when i load the ISO, its just goes all black. am i doing it wrong or is blindwrite not a software that will work.

Instead of loading the ISO, try mounting it with Daemon-Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc).

I would recommend you use iso buster to make iso Extract Cd Image raw bin,Iso because i'm not sure how to make them in blindwrite, and Its Free. Also running a CDrom from a drive wiill result in every 20 seconds or so the game will pause and the sound will skip.
