I think shaw_q is talking about PCSX2. If that is, you'll have a latest processor in order to run PS2 games.

I can only get about 16 fps, lol. But man! It's amazing how far they got with PS2 emulation!

NFS Carbon? But why don't you play PC version instead? It should run faster than PS2 version via the emu...

you must mean pcsx2.. not pcsx.

You wont get any speed with a celeron processor as 3rd generation emulators are all processor dependent. Try the pc version of that game or buy the ps2/ps3 version

Hello..
I am having problems running my PS2 game..

Game: Tekken Tag Tournament
Emulator: PCSX2 0.9.2 (Latest)
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80 GHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (128 MB memory)

It just starts and get stucks after displaying logo of PS2.

What are recommended plugins for my PC specifications?

Thanks,
Saad

here are the PC specs for good and smooth speed in PCSX2 look:
Core 2 Duo E6300 1,83GHz (overclock it if you must)
least 1 GB RAM (stabability)
Windows Vista 64bit or WinXP 64bit (SP2)
At least nVidia Geforce 4 series

There you have it. With these you might even reach full speed for SOME games. Or you might either match up the FPS of a PS2 console or you might surpass it or it will be slower

PS2 console FPS: (NTSC) 60FPS (PAL) 50 FPS
With a proccessor like C2D you can reach up to 200FPS in Final Fantasy X and 150FPS for Kingdom Hearts! Please note that speed is not the only thing if your game is running fast but its kind off laggy then go buy a nVidia Geforce 7 series if you buy the 8800GTX then the game might even run smoother then a PS2 console!

Please note that all those components are like $1500 rounded and a PS2 is on $124 so think 'bout it
