ePSXe won't stop screwing up

I keep trying to play a .bin file of Silent Hill, but it crashes every time after I run it. It won't even load the game. It's so damn annoying.

What could be causing it?

Try to mount the image with Daemon-Tools and and run it.

more details, are you able to play other games?
if not, please reconfigure your settings, esp video.
use peops for troubleshooting, then reconfigure your gl/dx plugins if it works.
and again, mount the image on daemon tools [or if you prefer alcohol that's fine]
we really prefer daemon tools here

since you also mentioned ' it won't load the game' perhaps your vid res is set too high? as I've said earlier, peops for safeties and use a good 640x480 since using much above this won't really make much a difference 'use a gl/dx card and set the settings and res to high then it will look in high resolution but the 3d stage will come all jittery [ps lacks this 3d feature]
anyway,

a quick set to 'fast' or 'nice' could make it work.
