I made this thread because some of us won't bother to read the whole thread to find out why this game will never see the light.
Most of us remember that thread I made months ago about a 2-D Ocarina Of Time (http://forums.emulator-zone.com/showthread.php?t=8430) game. The creator of this game, Richard (Dampe') Denton died in a car accident in March 21st, 2007 at 4:00 PM.
It is still unknown about what happened there, but there's a sure thing: The project is officially over. By request of Richard's family, the game, alongside with the forums and site will be terminated and no demo will be released.
May his soul rest in peace.
To the administrators/moderators: you can now close this thread (http://forums.emulator-zone.com/showthread.php?t=8430) and continue discussion here.

sigh, I was about to post this just now, anyway, you're lucky if you still have the demo, it was written in GM6 [game maker 6]
any [lucky guy] who's able to obtain the source can continue the project.

He received a cease and desist letter from Nintendo, closed the Project and used the dead issue as decoy, although I know that sounds disrespectful, but people will surely think of various stuff when shocked.

The thing that kind of makes this topic worse is that Dampe’ is very much alive…
By signing on with an older MSN account (not just me), a few people found out that he was in fact still online…
His reasons for wanting people to think he is dead was so that they would stop adding him and asking about OoT2D, and to also kill his reputation, stopping whatever pressures he may or may not have been under to complete his game…
Nonetheless a lot of us are pissed off and I just thought I’d say this before more RIP posts pop up.
He's such a pussy. Faking his death to avoid pressure. A pussy indeed.

This guy is a nut job. I do beleive he still is alive because his youtube account has been active.(I love youtube!!!!!) I checked my self!!!:)
Also his Myspace has shown some activety so ethier he still is alive. or some one else is using his Myspace and youtube.

He's a young lad who got a bit out of his depth with a bit of bulls**t. Agreed it would have been better all around for him to simply have fessed up and stated the project was cancelled (or non existent in the first place), but a 15 year old lad doesn't necessarily think that way, particularly when he has a perception that hundreds of people are waiting for him to come good.
Most people have told a few porkies at some point in their life. Its not the end of the world, no one parted with any money or invested any time, so people should just move on and let him sink back into the obscurity he obviously desires.

Also, he apparenly has posted a Youtube bulletin and a comment on his page under his own name, claiming he has died. Clearly, he has a different idea of what an april fools joke entails.

If he did fake his dead, you must not blame him for doing so. I know how high the pressure can get, and the easiest way to escape is saying you’re dead.
If you’d say you’d just stop the project, you’d feel a lot of guilt, especially because all the people would ask you why, how and so on.
Respect for dampe though.
Well, you try being his age and having the load of releasing a highly-anticipated software title on your shoulders - you may see things slightly different.

No-one knows at the moment, but I think he's more dead than alive. The info I got above was from Dampe's forum.
