FF7 questions

Ok, so I'm completely new on this ePSXe emulation and I managed to get it to work by following online instructions. I have both 1.6 and 1.52 versions of the emulator and the FF7 game discs. They're the real game discs, I didn't burn them or anything. So my questions are... What is the best possible setup for playing this game. I love it and had a craving for this game, it's rather nostalgic for me I guess. Also, the game has trouble playing, it'll run fine for a minute or so then it'll pause when something happens, it might be the game trying to load? I don't know, any help would be great. Plus, any random help would be nice. Thanks!

to configure your emulator.

Generally, you should rip your cds to image files using alcohol 120. You won't have those frequent skips or freezes.

Thanks! I also am having trouble with my settings, they aren't saved so I'll have to reconfigure them every now and then. I don't know how or why but do you know what's up with that?

if you mean that the configuration isn't saving.. i'm not sure then but try using the wizard guide rather than configuring everything separately.
