Visual boy advanced battery file?

I just got Pokemon Emerald and yeah I know it's pretty old now but it says there's no battery an that I can't use the time related events. How would I able to set up a battery file?

I copied what this guy did but there wasn't much of a change other than it being a tad smoother.


I'm using the latest Visual Boy Advanced which the emulator zone site has.

Hey never mind I found it I think, it was in the emulator tab saying "real time clocK"
