don't really work ok consoles?, I understand modifying it but i don't know the concept of how this works, is it the type of dvd thats being used?, because the data is identical, right? so can someone tell me why ps2 cant load backup ps2 games unless its modified, or why ps3 cant load ps2 back up dvds but can still load burnt dvds, is it the type of cd, or is it the data?(i really want to play my backup ps2 games cause, i sold all my real ones just to get a ps3.)

I think it has to do with a bit of data string written on original DVDs. Or there's some other method I don't really know.

not a great move ps2 still got plenty of life on it.
regarding the protection, it's the way they were burnt. (special way they were burnt)
