I like how it looks, the improved security, the programs and all of that, but the chances of programs running on it is 50-60%. I'll wait for at least 3 years before I switch to Vista.

3 years is far too long. There should be significant conversion progress after only 1 year. It'll probably go just as smooth as the transition to XP, technical limitations not included.

It's just that I want to run it on a better system. Mine just meets the minimun requirements.

Then why didn't you include that info? Sounded more like you were misrepresenting it than saying you had PC concerns.

My PC specs are also too low for Vista. I will switch to it when I buy a new PC.
I will use the OEM license, since that will be the only way to get Premium for a decent price. Else, it's just too expensive, IMHO.
