View Full Version : FF9 in epsxe1.6 help

Hi all, I have just downloaded and configed epsxe1.6 and I can play ff7, when it comes to ff9 however it just wont load, it appears there is a problem with the emu reading the disc as the disc is perfect and it plays fine on my psx and ps2.
Someone please help!!!

You may want to use epsxe 1.52 for FF9 because it crashes with the 1.6.

everyhting looks like it is about to go through ok then on the console window i get the message patching game not found!
Whats does this mean and how can I remedy this

what plugins are your using and are you playing through a cd or ISO?

Plugins are:
Graphics= Petes Open GL2
Sound = epsxe spu core
cdrom = p.e ops cdr driver 1.4
bios = scph7502
I have tried the game through both iso and cdrom

hm.. try PEOPS soft driver 1.17 for the video plugin.

try using a different CD-rom plugin.

You need the ff9 patch then. you can get it at
http://www.aldostools.com/ff9.html
And then apply it to the game i think it has to be iso.

still getting the patching game...not found error.

so where do i place the crack files, in the actual iso??? There is no help guide with them, all i got is 4 files that have the .ppf extension

Use Pete's 1.4 Cdrom plugin and go to configure, then look for the
Use PPF Patch check the box, then look for the location where you
placed the ppf download.

Make sure it is the right ppf other wise it won't work. If your in uk use the uk
one.
