Please Help

hey, Im a new/ beginner user of Visualboy advanced, and i cant figure out how to make the cheats work. the game im trying to get the cheats for it Pokemon Ruby and im not sure Which or were to put the codes in.

Do i put it in the Code.. Cheat.. gameshark.. or Codebreaker icons?
im also looking for cheats, because the ones ive tried have not worked.. maybe ive been putting them in wrong i dont know

If someone could maybe explain it to me that'd be great, Thanks!

check gamefaqs.com for codes and yes click in gameshark and copy the number of the code if the code is gameshark if it's codebreker click code braker and paste the number
