Hi, I've been trying to find the answer to this question, how do you play NES/SNES/GBA/SMS/Genesis games on the DS? It seems like there are a lot of things to consider and before I spend money on hardware, I wanted to make sure I know what I'm doing.

So here's some questions:

Which emulators for the above systems will work on the NDS? Do the emulators have to be customized to work on the NDS or will any emulator in it's current state work?
Where can I find these emulators? Emulator Zone doesn't seem to have info on which ones do/don't work on the NDS.
Since the NDS is backwards compatible with GBA, can I just get NES/SNES/SMS/Genesis emulators that work for the GBA?
To get the data on the NDS, I understand I will need a flash card. Do they only make flash cards for the GBA port on the NDS or are there ones that use the NDS game slot?
Which flash cards work and where can I find them?
Should I get a flash card that uses CompactFlash or SecureDigital?
Does the speed of the CF or SD card matter?

Thanks for the help!

1. & 2. Check this site (http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Category:Emulators_on_DS) for some emulators. You don't need a GBA emulator. Your hardware (backup card) must support it.
The emulators need to be specific for the DS, Windows emulators will not work.
3. Perhaps, but since the DS is more powerful, I would go for the DS variant if it's available.
4. Some work on the NDS port, some on the GBA one IIRC.
5. All of them should work, but check Google for reviews on them, since the opinions are very different.
6. It probably only differs little in price and quality, so it doesn't really matter.
7. AFAIK not.

NP :)

When you go buying a card, could you please tell how you like it? I am thinking about buying one myself and I would like to hear some experiences with them.
