VBA Emulator saving help

Hello. New here, and sorry if this is answered 18 times a day and someone wants to chuck something very heavy at their moniter for answering it again :/

Well, I recently got the VBA for Mac OS X. Problem is, while testing my Pokemon Emerald, it can save, but when i turn off the ROM or emu., it says


Error creating Battery Saves/1242
Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

Be sure to set your save directory to a write-enabled disk (your HD).
