If so, what client do you use? What site?
And also... what have you successfully downloaded :)

Torrent clients, yes. Sites, no!
I use uTorrent and I've sucessfully downloaded tons of stuff when downloading torrents with a lot of seeders.

I use uTorrent for a while now. It is very lightweight and has tons of features. Unfortunately it's future is uncertain, since it is bought by BitTorrent...

i started out using azureus, then switched to utorrent because it is better, but then my computer broke, and i had to do a system restore (to before i obtained utorrent) so i got utorrent again, but somehow part of it was still there... long story short, i can't use utorrent on this comp.
mostly use it for tv shows that aren't aired here, or reality tv shows that they air here after they are aired in america.

Why is everyone saying that uTorrent is fucking their computers up?

no idea, it works perfectly fine on my computer along with several million others.
i had this long argument with some dude on another forum about whether utorrent contained spyware. and the only proof that he could provide was that utorrent was closed source and some lame screenshot of adaware that didn't even point to utorrent.exe

huh? who said that.
my computer was having separate issues. so when i took it back to a system restore point, before i downloaded utorrent, when i tried to redownload it, it fucked up.

Saying uTorrent is fucking up your PC is a joke.
Maybe it's some other WinXP issue that seemed connected to uTorrent.
I use BitComet 99% of the time though.

Is there any way of increasing your download speed?

Ummm... get a torrent with a lot of seeders, specially from private ones, because they have upload speeds of 1 Mbps and above (that means hella fast seeding). Another way to improve speed is to set your upload speed to 20 - 50% of your total. For example: let's say your upload speed is 128 kbps. Set it to 64 kbps. If we are talking of KB/s instead of kbps, set your 14 KB/s to 7 KB/s.
All of this depends of your upload / download speed.
