I am currently using Mame32 and zsnesw. I really like the idea that the games are neatly contained in a folder.

I'd like to know which other popular emulators also use this method to load games?

Thanks in advance!

LOL... I figured that much since ...not require CDs/DVDs=cartridges :). I am just looking for a list of very popular emulators that fit what I was asking for.

Thanks for any information in advance!

Check the main site. The ones listed at the top are the best.

Hmmm... it looks like even if I wanted to use CD/DVD based-emulators, they all have major problems and serious limitations (ie, only 1 or 2 games available, games play too fast, etc).

I am currently using emulating (mame32, Nintendo 64, and SNES). Are there any other very-popular platforms that I'm missing?

That's not the disc's fault, but the way the CD/DVD-ROM plugin is working with it.

Plus it's something related to your PC specs if possible.
