Help with ZSNES

I've been trying to use the ZSNES emulator, but everytime I click on a game to load it, the screen will just go black and nothing will happen. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks!

what znes are ya usin? the latest version? and what game are ya tyin to run?

Maybe it's a corrupt ROM, or it happens with every ROM, doesn't it?

Yes, I'm using the lastest versions of ZSNES. I've tried multiple ROMs but all that happens is some code apears at the bottom and then the screen goes black but nothing happens.

well guess that won't matter, since i've been usin Znes since win98 (although dif ver)

to be sure what does the code say? did ya set everything to default in the settings?

When you load a ROM it should say the game, checksum and some other shit, but if you are getting random characters instead, the ROM is corrupt. Also, try booting your ROMs in different system (NTFS --> PAL or PAL --> NTFS).

Ok, the problem was that I was trying to use corrupt ROMs. Thanks for you help. But now that I've gotten a game to work, what do I use for the controls?
