Visual Boy Advance cheats dont work??? HEX

I cant seem to get the cheats to work. I followed the instructions on how to input codes yourself and nothing changed. then i went over to the gameshark & codebreaker websites to get some codes and still nothing. i dont know what else to do. Sombody told me that i needed a program called "HEX editor" so i could tweek the codes in myself but i have no idea on how to go about it. the game im playing right now is megaman zero 2 and the game is extremly hard to beat. a little boost in power or lives couldnt hurt but apparently tring to aquire the codes for them is hurting like hell...please help!!!

No you don't i don't anyway, just go to www.supercheats.com maybe it's just the codes you got?

well i went to www.supercheats.com and i redid the codes agian but nothing happend. the game just plays the same way as b4. i know i inputed the codes correctly unless you see somthing that i dont... please help
