ok, when im done playing, i go "save" then when i come back and open the save thingy, it says error... please help?

I know the problem, you must use "GBA Tool Advance" to fix the "overdump" after that you can save when you like (but you can save using SHIFT+F1 to F10(slots to save) and you can load just using F1 to F10)

in options select the save type eeprom
