.AVI to .VOB

Since I own a DVD±RAM drive now I always wanted to experiment between different DVD formats. I've only done DVD9 to DVD5 conversion, but I want to convert .AVI files to DVD format (.VOB).

Is there any good application, freeware or shareware, that allows me to do so?
