Dear members,

I've installed VBA 1.8.0 with Link supported. I've opened the port 5738, all the settings are correct, then i create the server. My friend (not LAN) was connected to my VBA trough my IP as a Serverip.

Now when we are in the same Pokecenter and talking to the same lady upstairs, when we try to connect then she says 'Your friend is not ready' ? What are we doing wrong? We press it at the sametime (difference is at max. 2-3 seconds).

Even when i open twice the same rom and connected (it worked) and i had 'Pause when inactive window' unchecked, so they would click the same. They did, but still "Your friend is not ready".

What could be the problem?

Gold and silver are GBC games....
VBA Link only trades between GBA games.


Use TGB Dual.

Well i tried Fire Red and Leaf Green, 2 roms on the same pc. It worked, until they went in the room and then i got a black screen with "Link error, connection closed" and stuff like that.

What am i doing wrong?

Your link is timming out.
you have to set teh time out to a diff number.
Just try a bunch of diff numbers ranging from 1000 to 10000.
