Can you play Dreamcast image files on an emulator?

Hiya, I've not done any Sega emulation before and have realised that it is possible for me to do so due to the fact that I have a 2.00 Ghz processor. I've just downloaded the Chankast emulator for dreamcast but there doesn't appear to be a way to play straight from an image file, it's obviously just a cd emulator, is there a way though?

I havent either but as far as i know DC plays .CDI files

Just mount the image with Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools and you can run it straight from Chankast :)
