i'm thinking about getting a N64 emulator going. my question is what can i use for a controller? i see usb adapters that claim to work with standard N64 controllers. will that work with the emulators here? my brother has a ps2 comtroller/usb adapter...will that work?

If you get an adaptiod for n64 it will work with just about all n64 pads. If you get the psx/n64 adapter don't be surprised if the buttons go nutz for n64. Its a 30/70 change it will work. 70 being the good. I have 6 controllers 2 don't work. Psx will give you no trouble.

Thanks for the info, ulauolao. I didn't know that. I just have a PSX controller and adapter myself and thought all N64 ones would also work.

If there is any more interest in this, we should all post SN's and see if its a certain batch. All the info I have read thus far has no definitive info to show what will work and what wont. But I will tell you this ALL after market n64's fail for me.
