how do i use my USB saitek controller to play games on MAME?

set the control up...load up mame...configure control...play game using that control :)

being a little more specific would help. those control configurations looks very complicated in MAME32. i'm trying to get a N64 controller via usb adapter to work but i don't know what to chance because it isn't very self explainatory. any help and suggestions on this would be appreciated. thanks.

Enable joystick input. Options > default game options > controller. Run game, press tab and select input this game.
