Problem running doom

Using ePSXe and the image starts to load fien, but when it gets to the loading screen it just freezes. Has anyone had to do anything special to get this to run?

WinXP
ATI Radeon 9800
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
1 GB RAM
3 GHZ processor

epsxe160 config:

Video: Pete's OpenGl driver 2.8
Sound: Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.15
CD Config: ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2.

Doesn't seem to be many other options to configue

try running the game from the ISO.. it generally is a lot smoother than from the cd

doom as in the original DOS doom? if so, why not just download it for DOS?

Guys, I got it running. It was actually trying to run it from the ISO image that was the problem. After burning it to a CD I was good to go.
