i had visual boy advance a few months ago, but i fell off a bit, i just d/l the latest one and i start up pokemon fire red and it tells me "the 1m sub circuit board is not installed" what do i do?

i have too the pokemon fire red and i become the same msg. but i can plaz the game with no problems

Well, here's what to do with all Pokemon games of 3rd Generation.

First, be sure that Options/Emulator/Save Type is set to Flash or Automatic (prefer Flash...). Then go to Options/Emulator/Save Type and check Flash 128. BUT you must close VBA by File/Close if the rom is still being played and THEN close the VBA.

Now this should be sticked. :P
