Final Fantasy VII, no doubt. It's the most substancial Final Fantasy ever. My 2nd favorite is Final Fantasy VIII (it was the first 3D Final Fantasy I've ever played).

FFVIII - not by a wide margin to most of the others plot-wise but it stands out through the gameplay in that you don't have to waste anytime leveling.

I figured Final Fantasy VII would be the highest but I prefer Final Fantasy III/VI
the story is great I wish they would remake it. I myself have never played Final Fantasy VII but have seen the movie.

FFX is still one of my favorites although Yuna's voice acting is terrible.
