I've obtained an image file for Vib Ribbon on PS1, however, it doesn't work properly. Title screen and such appear as they should, but once I start a new game it loads for a while and then hangs. Also, if there is supposed to be music during the "how to play" part, I'm not hearing any. I suspect the problem might be solved by burning the image to CD, but I don't want to unnecessarily waste a CD-R. Any insights on what's wrong and how to solve it?

I'm using EPSXE; the game is PAL.

Try using SCPH7502.BIN as your Bios as it is the Specific Bois for PAL games. See if that helps the problem.

Could be a few things... Where did you obtain this IMG file from... If you did not rip it yourself its likely there is a corruption in it... Also you might wanna try using an older or newer version of ePSXe.
