Snes 9x compatability

What format of games work on the SNES 9x emulator. i tryed some from a place called frozen roms that were .rar and they didnt show up when i tried to open a game. Any idea whats wrong?

There's no emulator that can load directly from .rar files. Extract the ROM inside the .rar file with WinRAR (http://www.rarlab.com).

If you wish to save some space, compress your ROM into a .zip file.
