Newbie questions about Silent Hill/emulators

Hello.
I´m kinda new with the whole emulator-stuff.
Now, i have only one simple question: I´m planing to purchase the PS 1 game "Silent Hill 1" on ebay. I do not have any of the consoles, so i thought about using a PS 1 emulator on my PC at home. Would that work? What do i have to do and use? TIA! :)

As long as your PC isn't too old you should be able to run Silent Hill nicely with ePSXe (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/epsxe.html).
Apart from the emulator and game you'll also need a BIOS and some plugins (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/psxplugins-tools.html). You can't
ask for a BIOS here as they are copyrighted, but you should be able to find one easily
enough by searching for "scph1000" with a file sharing program.

I don't think ePSXe supports Silent Hill...
