dragon warrior vii problems

i was in Hamelia. my game freezes at the cut scene where the old man sings in the middle of town can anyone help

You use a game CD or an ISO?

I am currently running espx1.6.0 and having been play dragon warrior 7 iso fine until i reach hamelia where the travelling musician starts his song, the game freezes. Is there anyone who knows how to fix this problem? I have also tried running it on espx1.5.2 with same results

No idea why that happens, but I suggest the pSX emulator. It's more compatible than ePSXe.
