What is with the S U S on the wall?

April 2nd, 2004, 01:06
Super United States.

Or . . .his full name.

April 2nd, 2004, 04:54
It is German for "sweet". I found them and made them mean something because they were neat. It actually works sort of, when you convert "Su▀" which means sweet to English you substitute the '▀' with two s's.

April 2nd, 2004, 13:25
Waz, are you by any chance living in an attic?

I'll post some images today.

Nah. My ceiling slopes like one though.

April 2nd, 2004, 23:30
I like that. I've got a tall ceiling that feels really cavernous, that bothers me for some reason. I'm something the opposite of claustrophobic - I don't like unfilled space.

Here are a few of mine:

What it looks like around the time I get home:

A ( sort of ) wideangle view. My window shade broke a few years ago and I just hung an old blanket over it. Been there since...

My 'bookshelf' is more like a place for depositing trash. I'd like to get decent furniture and paint the walls, but I don't own the flat, and I don't have ANY money to spend on this stuff. I hope to move anyway.

A strange mix of things on my windowsill:

My desk:

And my bed. I've got two in the room, this one and a larger fold out couch...for stuff.

The slope on my ceiling just takes the piss, really. The (tiny) window is right at the bottom of the slope - the hot air just rises to the top of the room and gets trapped there. I installed a ceiling fan which helps a little, but not much.

Waz does not like hot.

April 3rd, 2004, 00:55

April 3rd, 2004, 11:56
my room is pretty terrible, parts of the wall are falling off. the theme with the posters is i put most of them up when i was 15, and as they fall down i leave them down.

tv, stereo, etc. (http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v31/hitmonlee/room01small.jpg)
bed (http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v31/hitmonlee/room04small.jpg)
wardrove and door (http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v31/hitmonlee/room05.jpg)

my computer is in the house, in the study which is a really boring room.

Disturbing yet intriguing.

April 4th, 2004, 22:34
Is it just me or is that a dildo?

April 4th, 2004, 23:26
It's a pink dildo.

April 4th, 2004, 23:45
Its a rampant rabbit II vibrator(not a dildo :P), complete with vibrating rabbit for clitoral stimulation, and, 25 speed settings.

I use it as a fake willy.

April 5th, 2004, 00:46
I like Jessica Rabbit more, I'm still waiting for my friend to buy one so i can choose the colour for her.

Having anti-depressants is no indication of how depressed a person is. A truly, crippingly depressed person doesn't have the motivation to go to the doctor and get drugs, and the ones who have had their family intervene and were forced to go see somebody are classed such that they're not allowed their own drugs. The others are just dead in a more real sense.

April 6th, 2004, 01:15
I went to the doctor for a wart on my foot. He thought I might need them

April 6th, 2004, 01:20
I got put on anti-depressants when I was younger because I had
trouble sleeping, my mum told me they were sleeping pills. I
only found out a few months ago.

April 6th, 2004, 01:24
I tried that once too, only I knew up front. Oh well

That sucks for you

They hand them out like candy, yet most of them have no idea how to treat depression or how the pills will actually affect patients.

April 6th, 2004, 03:49
i went to my doctor a few years ago when i was really stressed about stuff and i said to him "i don't want anti-depressants" and i came out of his office with a prescription for anti-depressants.

nice one.
took one and it made me pretty incapacitated and i realised they were shit and i didnt need them.

April 6th, 2004, 04:16
I wanted sleeping pills, but my Doc says "Nope, you don't need them".

There goes my job at the local raves <_<

April 6th, 2004, 04:25
Zoloft has really helped me.

The doctor I am seeing is a very nice guy. We get along nicely, and he has good bedside manner. I have done many things now since taking the medicine that I probably wouldn't have done beforehand, including getting my driving permit and learning to drive. I also feel like getting out of the house more often.

I go back once a month to check up on my progress. I don't envision myself being on it for years, he says typical treatment should only last a number of months depending on the person.

El Fugitivo
April 6th, 2004, 23:12
That sounds like bull to me. My mom's been on Zoloft for a couple years now, but she's still an uptight bitch (which is exactly what she's trying to change with the drugs).

I've been on a few different anti-depressants (Celexa, Lexapro, and Effexor), and none of them really did much for me. But then, I don't think I have a "problem" so to speak. I see myself as being content with just lazing about all the time, and these drugs have done nothing to fix the real problem, my perception of my depression.

April 7th, 2004, 02:10
I'm not a doctor, so I can't really say anything about you or your mom. But I do know that it has helped me.

April 7th, 2004, 04:08
I believe it to be more of a placebo then anything else, sometimes ( often ) .

April 7th, 2004, 09:18
I might get some next month.

Well, maybe I know... it seems strange for me to live in Taiwan only. A-ha.
