Yes, it is. What seems to be the problem? Does it say something when loading a ROM?

Hey I have a question simalar to this. If my roms have "7.z" at the end of them, are they compressed? And if they are compressed, can you tell me where to get the unzipper? And I downloaded "7 zip file manager" which is a unzipper I found to unzip the rom, but once it finishes unzipping the rom then windows says "Windows cannot open this file:
File:Legend Of Zelda, The- Majora's Mask (E) (M4) [!].z64
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. Windows
can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer."
Which do I choose?
I just want to know how to make it work so that I can play my roms, so plase respond a fast as you can. Thank you.

To play your roms you need an emulator. Download Project 64 http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/ , run exe, File >> Open rom.

Of course I have Project 64. I'm trying to figure out how to unzip my roms because the names of them are for exaple, like "Super Mario 64.7z" and also the program says its a "7z file" and once I unzip them with 7 Zip File Manager windows says exactly what I put in quotation marks if you scroll up this thread. What I need to know is what I said earlier, which is do I pick a specific program on my computer,or do I search th web?

You say you have project 64 but it seems you don't use it. Did you run project 64 exe and try to open your extracted rom?

A ROM can't be loaded by just double-clicking it if it's not assigned to the emulator. The most common way is to open the emulator and open the ROM via emulator.

Well, once you unzip the file with 7-zip, there are two things you can do:
1. After unzipping it, LEAVE THE FILE ALONE, then open PJ64, "file", "open rom", then browse for the rom image.
2. Or, you could unzip the file, double click on it, "choose program I wish to use", and choose PJ64 as the program you wish to use. If it is not part of the list that comes up, you may have to browse for the project 64 .exe file, but once you do this, you can open roms simply by double clicking on them.
There ya go
